Time to Talk

The Time to Talk Initiative, a partnership between Project 16 and Kinnect Wellness
Network
, is designed to support the mental and emotional well-being of young people in
the Dallas–Fort Worth community.

Today’s teens face an unprecedented level of pressure—from academic expectations
and social media to identity, relationships, and the everyday challenges of growing up.
Too often, these pressures go unspoken. The Time to Talk Initiative creates a safe
space for young people to be heard, supported, and equipped with healthy tools to
navigate life.

Through this program, selected participants will receive eight professional therapy
sessions designed to help them process emotions, build resilience, and develop strong
mental health foundations. Because family support is critical to a young person’s well-
being, parents or guardians will also participate in two structured parent workshops
focused on understanding and supporting teen mental health.

The Time to Talk Initiative exists to ensure that young people know they are not
alone—and that their mental health matters.
